  • 250W – 750W 12” 4Ω Subwoofer
  • H.A.M.R. Surround Technology
  • For Small Box Applications

The new Type-E’s highly efficient design can play both louder and lower, and is more durable than its predecessor. With a shallow mounting depth, these subs can be installed just about anywhere, but they look so good, you won't want to hide them.

Genetically Built Like Type-R

H.A.M.R. Technology

FEA Optimized = Maximum Linearity

Alpine’s Patented Compound Radius Curve Pole Geometry (US Patent #6,639,993) ensure for an ultra symmetrical magnetic field, while optimizing flux density to greatly reduce distortion, and further improving power handling and output.

FEA Optimized H.A.M.R. Surround

The High-Amplitude Multi Roll Surround Design allows for extreme excursions without sacrificing valuable cone area. FEA Optimized for linearity and made with injection-molded Santoprene ®, the H.A.M.R. surround is a key part of the suspension system that allows for extreme excursions with accurate, distortion-free control.

Dual Flared Pole Vent with Airflow Back Plate

Dual Flared Pole Vent reduces the amount of trapped hot air by maximizing air flow from inside the motor structure to outside of the woofer. The Airflow Back Plate combined with the Compound Radius Curve Extended Pole Geometry ensures that threatening hot air temperatures are not trapped in the motor structure. Keeping your woofer cool is essential to long-lasting, consistent performance.

Perimeter Venting with Airflow Management System

Alpine’s Airflow Management System combined with Perimeter Venting (US Patent #7,684,585) actively manages the outer voice coil temperatures by forcing air directly across the heatsink system.

All New Cone Materials

The Type-E cones are built with a reinforced parabolic cone structure and lightweight poly mica dust cap, enabling a faster snappy dynamic response. The high excursion Santoprene® H.A.M.R. surround allows for impressive linear excursion so Type-E subs play louder, and lower!

More Bass In Less Space

What is unique and amazing about the new Type-E subwoofer is not only the engineering behind the build, it's the new requirements for them to optimally perform. The new Type-E 12” specification requires 0.65 – 1.0 cubic feet air space for superior performance. That’s 35% less air space used in your vehicle!

Progressive Conex® Spider

This woofer uses a durable Conex spider to ensure reliability and helps avoid interference typical of many high-excursion designs.

Leading the Class with Output

Get bass you can not only hear, but also feel? Through its new optimized suspension design and new cone materials, this woofer allows over 55mm peak-to-peak cone travel. Now that’s woofer movement you’re sure to feel!

High Strength Steel Frame

With such an advanced airflow system we have incorporated a high strength steel frame to keep the bass going while keeping your sub cooler.

Improved Power Handling

The oversized 65mm voice coil with high-temp 3-layer SVC winding on a spiral cut aluminum former offers increased power handling to 250W RMS / 750W Peak. To get the best performance, we recommend you pair Type-E subs with Alpine’s new MRX digital amplifiers.

8 AWG Push Terminals

Keeping power consistent to your woofers is just as important as keeping them cool. The 8 AWG Push Terminals are used on the Type-E woofers to keep power current flowing, allowing your subwoofer to get the power needed from the amplifier to run cool and consistent.

High-Grade Strontium Ferrite Magnets

Creates a symmetrical magnetic field with evenly distributed flux density to greatly reduce distortion, while further improving power handling and output.

Clean, Concealed Mount Gasket System

These subwoofers have a shallower mounting depth allowing for more application flexibility and the concealed mount gaskets give Type-E subs a clean finished appearance for any vehicle.
