‘Alpine Connected’ Community Offers Dealers Exclusive Access to Forums, Product Information and Support

TORRANCE, Calif., June 23, 2009 – For mobile electronics retailers looking to stay on the cutting edge of the latest product news, installation advice and manufacturer’s support, Alpine Electronics of America, Inc., the industry-leading manufacturer of automotive mobile media solutions, today introduced “Alpine Connected,” a dedicated Web site for U.S.-based authorized Alpine retailers to help keep them ahead of the curve.

Alpine Connected is far more than a repository for product information and owner’s manuals, it is an interactive community. Authorized dealers get exclusive access to engage in forums and pose questions to Alpine experts. As well, they will be able to share and dial-in to the collective knowledge of the Alpine dealer network from across the country to stay informed on the latest product advancements and installation techniques.

“Dealer and customer satisfaction are top priorities for Alpine. We want to give our dealers tools to help them be more successful and maximize sales in today’s dynamic business environment. Alpine Connected gives dealers unprecedented access to our engineering and product experts,” said Stephen Witt, vice president, marketing, Alpine Electronics. “By helping our dealers deliver a better experience to their customers, we are providing a better Alpine brand experience to the consumer.”

Alpine Connected consists of several sections. The 411 is a blog for Alpine staff to share observations and ideas. The Forums encourage open communication between dealers and Alpine staff with discussions dedicated to In-Vehicle Products, Marine Products, Installers, Events and Alpine Success Stories. There is also a forum for Alpine Sales Reps for “rep-to-rep” or “rep-to-Alpine” communications. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) from authorized Alpine dealers, as tallied by Alpine’s internal Tech Support team, are posted to provide answers to common questions.

The Top Downloads section displays the most recently accessed Owner’s Manuals and fact sheets, which are in PDF format for easy downloading and printing. A Search function allows dealers to type in an Alpine model number, bringing up all relevant content within Alpine Connected as results. This content includes support materials such as product photos, Owner’s Manuals and spec sheets, as well as user-generated content from the Forum, The 411 blog or FAQ sections.

A custom banner resides at the top of the Alpine Connected home page and will be used to post news of interest to users. Currently, the banner has a request for dealers to submit their proven installation applications for the PXE-H650 System Integration Audio Processor. The first 40 dealers who submit unique step-by-step vehicle application guides for the PXE-H650 will receive Alpine product prizes. At the bottom of each page are buttons that link to Alpine’s social media presence on Twitter, MySpace, YouTube, Facebook and Alpine’s own consumer community, the Alpine Garage.

Users need to provide their Alpine account number when signing in, to keep access to Alpine Connected exclusive to authorized Alpine dealers. Alpine staff will moderate the site to ensure the accuracy of information.

Authorized Alpine dealers in the U.S. are encouraged to join Alpine Connected at
