Back April 1, 2008

Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. announced that the “Rock the Dash™” music contest at www.RocktheDash.com would be extended for one additional month, starting today and ending April 30, 2008. In addition to the contest extension, the prize package also has increased to include awards for the top 15 artists, up from the top five acts, with a total value of $35,000.

The competition is intended to support awareness of emerging artists’ music and invites up-and-coming musicians to participate with a chance to win a full Alpine in-vehicle sound system. Individual acts and bands from the U.S. and Canada may upload up to five original songs to the “Rock the Dash” site. There are currently more than 400 artists and 1,200 songs in the running.
